Pandit Monomohon Mukherjee had served as a resident priest of Shiva-Vinshu Temple, Livermore, California since 1999 and is now engaged in performing religious services on an individual capacity. During his stint at the temple, he performed religious services at the temple as well as different temples around the world and at people’s homes in addition to doing Durga Puja, Saraswati Puja, and other major functions at the temple every year.
At the age of 4 years old, he began studying under the guidance of Guru Sita Ram Das Onkar Nath in Baranagar, W. B., India. He grew up in the Sita Ram Vedic Maha Vidyalaya (Sanskrit University) as a student, living there for 20 yea Pandit Sri Sri Mono Mohon Mukherjee's specialty is in Hindu ritual pujas, chanting Sanskrit mantras, Doso Korma, marriages, Onnoprasan (Ritual offering of first rice to child), Uppanian (Thread Ceremony) and Ganesh Puja (Bengali and North Indian style). He is is also very knowledgeable of Vedic astrology and provides astrological analysis and predictions.Early Life
rs. He was a scholar in Ved, Vekaran, and won the Smriti title, as well as being a scholar in Sanskrit. He also received a Doctorate in Sanskrit from Lal Bahadur University, studying under Dr. Rabindra Nagar. He is a specialist in Chandi, Ramayana Path and Srimat Bahagavat Gita rituals.
At the age of 20 he moved to Northern India, to New Delhi in the Safderjang Enclave. He was the head priest for Matri Mandir Kalibari. During that time in New Delhi, he performed pujas in several different Kalibaris in the area. He also inaugurated a new temple and performed many pujas throughout New Delhi and Greater Noida for the Bengali community.

He became the Chief Priest for the Prime Minister of India, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, from 2000 to 20001. He has also performed pujas for famous actors, musicians, and directors, including: Academy Award winning actor Ben Kingsley, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Anup Jolata and B.R. Chopra. He has also performed pujas for Oswal, a leading company in India, and was the spiritual advisor for Sahara Airlines and Crown Airlines between 1998 and 2001.
Because of his expertise in the performance of pujas, he has received many invitations to perform these holy rituals in India and abroad. He has performed pujas and inaugurated temples in Singapore, Dubai, Mauritius, London, Abudubai, Mascat, Amsterdam, Lisbon, and Madrid. He came to North America in 2001 with his small family.
